Adam was born and raised in sunny Southern, CA (currently known as the OC.).  He married Katie J. Kaelber on January 24, 2004. He graduated in 2000 with a B.A.  in Religious Studies and Spanish from Anderson University, Anderson IN. From 2000 – 2002 he was the Youth Director at United Community Church, a multi-cultural multi-denominational congregatio
n in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Adam earned a Masters of Divinity from Wake Forest University Divinity School in Winston-Salem, NC in May 2007. He graduated as the Margaret Woodford Guthrie Distinguished Scholar. He is now the proud father of Owen Matthew and Wiley Jacob.  Adam seeks to follow Christ in a post-denominational, post-Christendom world where the lines delineating the sacred and secular are not defined. Adam is passionate about encountering youth at this critical time, offering them a safe space and inviting them to challenge the social norms, always seeking what it means to follow Christ TODAY.

Kenneth J Meyers was born in Paducah, KY. He married the former Adrienne Blanche Wood of Nelson, New Zealand in 1976.  Ken grew up in Birmingham, Nashville, and Atlanta and graduated in 1973 from Auburn University with a B.S. in Business (marketing). He earned an M.A. from Southern Seminary (1978) and a Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological  Seminary (1996) with special studies in Latin America and Oxford University. He is the father of David, Brent, and Natalie.  Before coming to Knollwood, Ken served in similar positions in Tampa, FL; Rockville, MD; and Jacksonville, FL.

Chris, also know to us as Lucrecia, serves as the director of the Knollwood Preschool, a half day enrichment program for infants through five-year-olds. She is a graduate of High Point College in 1981 with a BA in Christian Education and from Duke University Divinity School in 1984 with a Master’s of Divinity. She is married    to Fred Norman, Jr. and they have two grown children, a daughter Casey and son Russell. As an ordained minister, she has served as an associate minister and an assistant director of another preschool before coming to Knollwood. Lucrecia enjoys spending time with her family, reading and teaching part-time in the Early Childhood Department at Davidson Co. Community College.

Roger Underwood, Interim Senior Pastor

The Rev. Roger Underwood will serve as on Interim Senior Pastor.  He is a very energetic individual with a deep desire to assist churches in time of transition. Roger is married to the talented and beautiful Sharon Carter and the proud father of two children: Caleb, age 16 and Katie, age 13. He loves to work with people around issues of faith. Preaching, teaching and pastoral ministry are his strongest gifts.

Ken Wilson, Knollwood's Minister of Music, was born in Winston-Salem. He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1974 as the school’s first classical guitar major. He received the Master of Church Music degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1977 with a major in composition and guitar, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the seminary in 1979 as a conducting major. His wife Cathy is a pastoral counselor at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. They have two grown daughters, Emily and Erin. Before coming to Knollwood in 1986, Ken served as Minister of Music at Second Baptist Church, Richmond, Virginia. He enjoys his family, computers (and his new iPhone) and playing jazz guitar in a variety of settings including two different big bands.
