Youth Committee
The Youth Committee works in cooperation with the Minister for Youth and College, to plan, implement and evaluate the overall youth ministry of the church. The purpose of this ministry is to provide Christian nurture for young people, grades 6-12, through a variety of vehicles of Christian education, service involvement and fellowship.
Youth Minister and SNYG Youth Mentors
Adam Davis, Minister with Youth and College – I love finding meaningful ways to apply faith to everyday life. If our walk with Christ is not active, then it is not real. The point where our creed becomes our deed is what I God is still teaching me and what I in turn love to teach.
I have two beautiful boys, Owen and Wiley, and one lovely wife, Katie. I love sports, competition (the youth can explain), mission trips, dancing, and laughing hysterically. Check out Adam's family's blog
Kevin Murray, Youth Ministry Intern. Kevin comes from a family of four hailing from Raleigh, NC where he attended and grew up in Hayes Barton Baptist Church. He ttended Campbell University where he discovered he was a fighting Camel, met his fiance, and graduated with a BA in Religion in 2008. Over the past summers Kevin has worked at PASSPORT (both kids camp and youth), the past two summers serving as Camp Pastor. Kevin has a deep love for sports, video games, music, and my favorite game (to play) is GAGA ball.

Chuck Hinson, Youth Ministry Mentor - Chuck loves spending time with Middle School students. They ask honest questions while sorting out their own values, beliefs, and priorities. It is a fascinating process to observe and an honor to be a witness to (and sometimes a participant in) this evolution. If we can deflect the angle of development by 1% at this point in a young person's life, it can make miles of difference down the road in adulthood.
In real life, Chuck designs and writes computer programs for Lincoln Financial Group and enjoys leading Marriage Enrichment programs with his wife, Renee.
