Music ministry for youth at Knollwood takes many forms. There are separate bell choirs for middle school and high school, opportunities for instrumentalists, guitar classes, and, of course, youth choir. This 6th-12th-grade group meets for rehearsal each Sunday at 4:30 pm, September - June.

The group is directed by Ken Wilson, and accompanied by Lauren Winkelman. Mentors for the youth choir include  Susan Edge, Rachel Wiggins, and Mike Mitchell. The choir sings for worship at least once each month, sings programs in area churches, and presents musical dramas. Past productions include A Cotton Patch Gospel, Godspell, Celebrate Life, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

For a number of years the choir, bells, and guitar ensemble has made tours to different parts of the country—singing in churches, hospitals, nursing facilities, prisons, and even major league baseball games. These choir tours have taken our musicians to New Orleans, Atlanta, Birmingham, Boston, New York City, Washington, D.C., Jacksonville, FL, Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and many points along the way. In June 2014 the youth choir, bell choir, and guitar ensemble headed to Jefferson City Tennessee for mission work with Appalachian Outreach and concerts in area venues, including worship leadership at First Baptist Church, Jefferson City.
