Children's Worship
11:00 a.m. each Sunday, August - May

Children's Worship is a special worship experience created for children in grades 1-3. Children gather following Sunday School and are taken to the sanctuary to join our congregation in worship for part of our service. During the second hymn of the sanctuary service, the children leave to return to the classroom. In their class time, the children learn about the elements of worship throughout the church year as well as other worship features.

There will also be Sundays during the year when the children will meet together in their classroom for the entire worship service. In addition, there will be times when the children have special age-appropriate worship services in which they share the leadership for worship using materials they have created in their class time.

Children are picked up by parents in their classroom on the second floor of the Education Building following worship. Teams of adult leaders guide the children in their learning experiences. Parents will be asked to volunteer as assistants when possible throughout the year.

In addition to this worship program for grades 1-3, the elementary committee has created periodic worship services for all elementary children, grades 1-5. These worship services include all elements of worship, but the service is designed to be age appropriate. Children lead the service, and members of the ministerial staff and other guest speakers offer an age appropriate sermon time for the children.
