Entrance Requirements
To be eligible for our preschool, a child must be of the age of the class in which he/she wishes to enroll on or before October 16. For example, a child wishing to attend the two-year-old class must be two years old on or before October 16.

Knollwood Preschool Curriculum
We feel fortunate to offer young children an excellent teaching staff and facilities. The space we provide allows for the developmemt of large and small motor activities. We seek to help each child achieve good learning experiences on his/her own level. Our five-year-old readiness class offers reading, mathematics, and language materials similar to those used in public school but has the advantange of a shorter day and more personal attention.
Schedule
School hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon for infants through 4-year-olds. The 5-year-old class meets from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Staff members will begin unloading at 9:00 a.m. each morning. No child may ever enter the building unattended without a parent or staff member. The Knollwood Preschool calendar will usually coincide with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County traditional school calendar.

Lunch Bunch
For an hour after school, a time is provided for children to have lunch, share, and play together. These classes are supervised by the Preschool staff. The hour is from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Children will be loaded into cars beginning at 12:55 p.m. The cost is $4.00—to be paid the day your child stays. You may purchase Lunch Bunch tickets by the sheet for $40.00 or by the coupon for $4.00. These tickets may be purchased in the Preschool Office.

Scholarship
Our school offers scholarships for a child or children who may be financially unable to attend preschool. Scholarship applications are available in the Preschool Office. Scholarships will be granted pending approval from the Preschool Committee.
