Coordinating the sharing of God's riches with our church family, our local community, and throughout the world is the charge of the Mission Commission.  Knollwood regularly supports local mission organizations, providing food, clothing, and benevolence support to people in our community who have needs.

Building Knollwood's
Habitat House
2007

Local hands-on mission projects take place throughout the year.  Each November, Knollwood  holds a large food  in-gathering to be donated to an area crisis ministry.  In conjuction with this, a World Hunger monetary offering is collected and distributed to a hunger organization to be determined annually by the Local Mission Allocation Committee.  We have also enjoyed working closely with Habitat for Humanity, having sponsored the construction of an entire home in 2001 and 2007.  Through affiliation with the North Carolina Baptist Convention, support is given to the North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Children's Home, and Retirement Centers.

World mission efforts receive support from Knollwood through gifts to the
