CALL SUNDAY

9:00 AM: Candidate at Knollchat

After Worship: Called Church in Conference.

To respect the candidate’s current ministry and allow them to inform their own congregation personally, we will wait until Sunday, Jan. 4, to share their name and specific biographical details.

The packet you receive on that day will include an overview of the criteria used for our search, the candidate’s resume, and reflections from the Search Committee and external recommendations on why we are so excited to make this recommendation.

This is a defining moment in the life of Knollwood. Please watch for additional communications from the DEC and the Search Committee in the coming days. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly.

With hope and excitement,

Martha Allman, chair, Pastor Search Committee

Mark Jensen, church moderator, vice chair of deacons

Voting Process To Call a New Senior Pastor

On Sunday, Jan. 11, at the conclusion of morning worship, we will enter into a called Church in Conference for the purpose of voting to call a new senior minister. Voting will be by paper ballots distributed at that time.

Provisions for absentee voting

1) Members may obtain an absentee paper ballot by coming to the church office during office hours beginning Jan. 5. If you are unable to come to the church office, call and request a ballot by Jan. 6, and a member of a Knollwood Cares team will arrange with you to deliver a ballot to your home. Absentee paper ballots must be returned to the church office by 1 PM on Friday, Jan. 9.

OR

2) Beginning Jan. 5, members may request an online absentee ballot by emailing frontdesk@knollwood.org. Requests for online ballots must be received by 4 PM on Jan. 9. You will be sent a link to the online ballot. Click on the link and complete the ballot. Online voting will close when the Church in Conference is adjourned Jan. 11.

All votes will be tabulated immediately after the Church in Conference is adjourned Jan. 11. A church-wide email announcement of the results will go out that afternoon.
