This month’s topic is “Breaking Barriers: Empowering Black and Brown Students Through Increased AP Enrollment.” Join us as we delve into the crucial topic of equitable access to Advanced Placement (AP) courses. District and school representatives will share successful strategies to enrolling Black and brown students in AP courses.
More local Black and brown high school students are taking Advanced Placement (AP) courses, the result of a push from the state and WS/FCS district to improve access to the rigorous courses that may help students earn college credit.
Hear from WS/FCS leaders how the invitation to higher-level courses is being stressed and from a school-based panel how students are succeeding. What more can be done to continue opening these new doors?
There will not be a Zoom option this month.
