Dr. Matt Cook

Interim Minister

Dr. Matt Cook is the director of the Center for Healthy Churches, a national church consulting organization that assists congregations with pastoral transitions, organizational development, ministerial coaching and training, and conflict transformation. Before his work at the Center, he served as a senior pastor for 20 years in congregations in Texas, Arkansas, and North Carolina.

Dr. Cook holds degrees from Samford University (B.A. in history) and Baylor University (M.Div. and Ph.D. in church history). He’s taught as an adjunct at Belmont University, Baylor University, and Central Seminary.

Dr. Cook resides in Dallas, Texas, with his wife, Allyson. They have two college-aged kids, Nathaniel and Caroline.
