Knollwood is collecting supplies to support our neighbors in western North Carolina in the wake of the devastating flooding, through a partnership with First Baptist Church West Jefferson and West Jefferson United Methodist Church. The churches in West Jefferson are working as a collection and distribution center for Ashe County and are coordinating with local government agencies to supply what is most needed by the community.
Over the next few weeks Knollwood will be collecting:
• Infant/toddler diapers
• Formula
• Adult diapers
• Heavy duty trash bags
• Feminine hygiene products
• Flashlights with batteries
• Toilet paper
• Handheld can openers
During office hours, please bring donations to the Wellness and Community Center (WCC) lobby and place them under the stairs. After hours, please leave donations at the door of the WCC.
FBC West Jefferson is the home church of Sara and Chase Smith, and they will be taking multiple trips up to West Jefferson over the coming days to drop off supplies.
