Holy Week and Easter 2026

Join us for worship and fellowship during Holy Week and on Easter Sunday as we reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice and celebrate his resurrection with a variety of services and activities for all ages.

SATURDAY, MARCH 28 • CHILDREN’S EASTER CELEBRATION

10-11:30 AM, WCC and surrounding lawn – Bring your Easter baskets! There will be carnival-style games, prizes, an Easter egg hunt, art projects, relays, stories, songs, and more. This event is open to preschoolers through fifth-graders and their families.

Register to attend at www.tinyurl.com/KBCKidsEaster26 by Friday, March 20, so we can prepare enough prizes and goody bags for all participants.

SUNDAY, MARCH 29 • PALM/PASSION SUNDAY

10:45 AM Worship – The Chancel Choir will lead us in worship in the sanctuary on the last day in Lent as we follow Jesus through the streets of Jerusalem, into Pilate’s chambers, and finally to the cross.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1

6 PM – We will walk the Stations of the Cross in the Memorial Garden.

THURSDAY, APRIL 2 • MAUNDY THURSDAY

7 PM Service – The Chancel and Youth will choirs lead us in worship in the sanctuary. This night we will hear anew the New Commandment given by Christ: to love one another and to serve with humility. We’ll serve communion to one another. The stripping of the altar reminds us of how Christ was deserted by his closest friends.

FRIDAY, APRIL 3 • GOOD FRIDAY

Noon Service – We’ll mark a solemn remembrance of the Crucifixion through scripture, prayer, meditation, and song in the sanctuary. A simple soup lunch will be served afterward in the Fellowship Hall.

Flowering the Cross and Sanctuary

There are two ways you can contribute to this year’s joyful flowering of the Easter cross:

  • Bring your own fresh flowers, colorful symbols of new life, to adorn the cross in front of the sanctuary before worship on Easter Day.
  • Make a $25 gift to the Easter Flowers Fund in memory or in honor of a loved one. Funds will be used to beautifully adorn the cross and sanctuary with flowers before worshippers arrive, and your loved ones will be acknowledged in the Easter worship order.

Submit this form by Friday, March 27, to be included in the worship order.

Donations may be made on the Knollwood online donation page. Select the “Other Gifts or Payments” option, enter the one-time amount, and in the Note box, please indicate “Easter Flowers.”

You may also donate by check with the memo notation “Easter Flowers.” Payment can be mailed to 330 Knollwood St., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
