Women of Knollwood will gather again at the Catholic Conference Center in Hickory, about an hour west of Winston-Salem, for our annual retreat. This year’s theme is “Walking by Faith: Shifting Sand and Solid Ground.” In your faith journey, how have you experienced the security of God’s presence during times of uncertainty?
Through large and small group conversations, we will explore how living in uncertain times may offer us opportunities to deepen our relationship with God. We’ll also have opportunities for casual conversation and frivolity.
Our facilitator will be our own Rev. Linda Browne. Linda retired in September 2023 after 19 years as chaplain/director of spiritual life at the Salemtowne retirement community.
She was ordained at Knollwood in 2003 after receiving her master of divinity degree from Wake Forest School of Divinity in 2002. Prior to divinity studies, Linda earned a master’s degree in education in counseling (1985), also at Wake Forest.
Originally a United Methodist from Atlanta, Linda and her husband, Dale, joined Knollwood in 1982.
