The Knollwood community is invited to join the Evening Book Club on Wednesday, Aug. 23, from 7-8:30 PM in the WCC Community Room for refreshments and conversation on the Bookmarks Book With Purpose 2023 selection. Book with Purpose is a summer initiative that unites the Winston-Salem community in book discussions for all ages centered around one book.
Dear America raises themes of identity and belonging, the meaning of citizenship, finding home, and what it means to be American in today’s world. The culminating event of Book With Purpose will be a free keynote event with author Jose Antonio Vargas at the Bookmarks Festival of Books & Authors on Saturday, Sept. 23.
