Knollwood was a seed funder of this event, joined by other partner churches and organizations. Dr. Love will speak on “Punished for Dreaming: The Case for Abolitionist Teaching and Educational Reparations.”

Dr. Love’s work supports teachers and parents fighting injustice caused by decades of educational reforms and explores what can be done to repair the harm to Black children. She holds the prestigious William F. Russell Professorship at Teachers College, Columbia University, and in 2022 was recognized by the Kennedy Center as one of the Next 50 Leaders who are making the world more inspired, inclusive, and compassionate.
