Educational Equity: Why We Can't Wait

Faith in the City: Deepening Community Conversations

November 5, 2019
12:00 pm
1:00 pm
Community Room, Wellness and Community Center (Building D)

Dr. Paul Robeson Ford, pastor of First Baptist Church on Highland Avenue, will share theological reflections on equity in light of local disparities in education. The gathering will also  invite discussion of a significant and well-attended October 10th event that featured New York Times Magazine investigative journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones.

Knollwood Baptist Church offers this monthly series of conversations, running October-May on the first Tuesday, noon-1 pm. These gatherings will invite participants to deepen community conversations about complex issues and find ways to work together to address injustices that might seem overwhelming to us as individuals. The lunch series is free and open to the public. Bring a bagged lunch. We will provide beverages and desserts.
