The Faith in the City discussion series returns for a new season of conversations about equity in education with the program “What’s at Stake for Educational Equity in the Fall Elections ... and Beyond.”
Join us to hear from Alexandra Sirota, director of the NC Budget and Tax Center in Durham, about the implications of the proposed constitutional amendments on funding for education and other essential community services. In addition, she will explore other statewide ballot issues and further legislative and policy actions that can affect educational equity going forward.
As part of our discussion, we will also welcome representatives from local civic engagement group Women of Action to provide helpful information about local races that will affect education.
