Adequate blood bank supply is crucial to save lives and is a constant need. The Red Cross needs to collect more than 13,000 blood donations and more than 2,500 platelet donations each day to meet demand, so please join us at our fall blood drive to donate.
According to the American Red Cross, someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds, so blood products must be constantly replenished and can only come from volunteers like you. Unfortunately, only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood yearly. And 84 percent of all blood donations are given at blood drives like ours.
Help your neighbors by joining us to provide a life-saving gift. Make your own appointment by visiting the Red Cross website, then select our event for available times. You may also sign up at KBC on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Contact Katy Hites at khhites@gmail.com with any questions or to volunteer to help with snacks or registration.
You can check donation eligibility criteria here.
Can’t make our blood drive? We encourage you to find another time and place to donate.
