The Trajectory of Hope

We cannot find a deep, abiding, biblical hope by fast-forwarding through the hard parts. First, we must live into what our suffering, or the suffering of others, is trying to teach us. According to Paul, first comes suffering, then endurance, then character, and only then, Hope! (Romans 5:3-5).
