Sermon Title: From "Why?" to "Now What?"
Isaiah 55:1–3, 6–9; 1 Corinthians 10:11–13; Luke 13:1–9
In the face of the world’s pain and suffering (Luke 13:1, 3), Jesus refuses to be drawn into the “Why?” questions. Instead, he sees such tragedies as an opportunity to act, which the Bible calls “repentance” (Luke 13:3, 5). To “repent” is to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty in the garden of the world, trying to coax new life from dire, desperate places (Luke 13:6–9)
